Rapid Release Therapy (RRT) is a great adjunct to our care.  We’re concerned with soft tissue quality as well as joint function/alignment and nervous system integrity.  We think most patients need all three for optimal health. RRTFor many spinal conditions, and MOST extremity conditions (shoulder/knee/foot) the soft tissue quality may be THE reason for the dysfunction in the joint, not the other way around.

RRT is one of many soft tissue techniques we use to improve the quality of the muscles and fascia to improve movement quality.  The RRT device uses short amplitude (2.5mm) and very high frequency impacts (>600 per SECOND) to create independent function of muscle fibres by releasing adhesions in the surrounding fascia.  It’s intense, but surprisingly comfortable, especially compared with some of the more aggressive fascial work we do, like Graston Technique, so this gives us the opportunity to make substantial functional restoration to even the most sensitive people.  The treatment takes only 2-3 minutes and patients’ feedback is uniformly positive.

Rapid Release Technology Pic2Along with Doc’s skillset to adjust the joints involved, referral to our Chiropractic Technician Karen for this procedure is probable for help with patients;

  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Trigger Finger
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (involving pinching of the nerves to the hands by the neck muscles or pec muscles)
  • Lateral/Medial Epicondylitis (tennis/golfers’ elbow)
  • Knee Pain (involving the muscles that surround the knee that are often too tight creating knee pain)
